NHS LED Lighting

Electricity occupies 50% of energy bill of hospitals in UK, this percentage will continue to grow if changes are not made. A simple switch to LED luminaires can reduce this cost massively.

Health establishments spend £400 million per year on electricity and 90% of this can be cut with our services. We provide a no up-front cost financial aid which can be repaid with the money saved after completion of our service.

Moving to LED lights will allow hospitals to cut the energy expenditure they get from lighting and direct that energy into the increased use of specialist medical equipment that relies on electricity.

The money saved could be also used to fund specialist medical equipment and training of staff to operate.

UK Energy Watch’s design team ensures to meet every need and desire efficiently, providing employees and patients a modern and aesthetically pleasing looking environment.

Working with the National Health Service sector to reduce their expenditures on bills is something we at UK Energy Watch take a lot of pride in.

As well as our energy efficient LED fittings, we recommend using our advanced lighting smart controls that will help produce more reductions.

NHS England is responsible for 20 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually – spending £50m a year on carbon permits.

For your understanding, we can look at carbon dioxide tonnes in terms of weight. One tonne of CO2 would fill six double-decker buses, so 20 million tonnes would fill 40 million double-decker buses.

Carbon permit is a fixed amount of greenhouse gas that a company is allowed to send into the atmosphere. If any company goes above the limit, they will have to pay for the extra amount of greenhouse gas released.
