NHS Intelligent Controls

UK Energy Watch understands the stress that comes with paying expenses, so we always try to utilise the latest technologies to cut expenditures.

The intelligent controls that we provide to National Health Service buildings are designed to be eco-friendly.

Occupancy sensing lights, daylight harvesting lights, full-range dimming lights, Li-Fi and a software-controlled system are the smart controls we recommend.

Intelligent Lighting

  • Occupancy settings – occupancy controls use detectors (motion, presence and absence) to identify movement within a room, before turning the lighting system on or off. These sensors are ideal for a waiting room in a hospital because of the number of people that go in and out of the room.

  • Daylight harvesting lights – this lighting system works with daylight to produce consistent lux levels, meaning that the room is getting the same amount of light throughout the day. Daylight harvesting lights are perfect for rooms that get steady light from windows like offices.

  • Full-range dimming controls – dimming controls help maintain the life of LED lights as they provide a silent and smooth operating system. These dimming controls are perfect for rooms with computers like receptions because these controls will stop screen glares whilst also cutting cost.

  • Software-controlled system – this system is provided via applications for mobiles and tablets. The app allows the user(s) the ability to control the lighting system on the move. This system is excellent for big structures that have multiple departments as department managers can stay on top of the energy usage.

  • Li-Fi – Li-Fi is similar to Wi-Fi with the main difference being that it is a visible light communicator that transmits data through light. It can be considered a duo with the Wi-Fi but not a substitute of it.

These recommended smart lighting controls are a few of the innovative technologies we offer for service, for more information about out lighting controls click here.
